Library of In-services

We have developed nursing home specific programs for the exclusive use of our providers and clients. Each of our in-service programs requires only 45 minutes, but utilizing didactic principals accompanied with handouts leave the participant fully knowledgeable of the subject covered.

1) Staff Survey Stress: designed to reduce the stress associated with your upcoming survey. A calmer staff is a better prepared staff.
2) How to cope with the stress of placement: designed for family members of NH residents.
3) Resident Dignity: designed to teach staff communication techniques to avoid complaints, or worse.

As you know, there is limited intervention a psychologist can have with a person suffering from severe cognitive impairment. We do encourage other types of intervention that have a greater likelihood of success, and to that end are happy to provide in-services in these areas.
